The digital divide is more evident than ever before with the advent of new, powerful technologies in the realm of artificial intelligence (AI). Moreover, this disparity is spilling into grade schooling where some schools with good resources are ahead of the game and embedded AI in their curricula while other school districts have lagged behind.

Every development coming at society and the entirety of humanity is tech-based. Considering that AI’s intersectionality will only get more powerful and ubiquitous, it’s imperative that the whole community, regardless of limitations such as socioeconomic status, is knowledgeable about AI’s impacts and repercussions.  

Empower With AI, at its core, is a student-led initiative with the goal of teaching K-12 students and underserved communities about the intricacies of AI technology, ranging from the fundamentals of AI to the latest open-source technology.
